Hearing tests and hearing aids available at our Hidden Hearing clinic in Exeter
It’s so important to have your hearing checked regularly, especially the older you get. Hearing loss can creep up on you. It can be so gradual that it’s not always easy to recognise or even accept. So if you’re worried about your hearing in any way, the best thing to do is to book a free hearing test.
And if you’ve never had a hearing test before, don’t worry – you can find out exactly what happens during a hearing test hereIf you do suffer from hearing loss already, it’s important to keep on top of any changes to your hearing. Even if you’ve come to see us before, we still recommend having a regular check-up, at least once a year.

The Exeter branch is situated in Cowick Street, just a few minutes’ walk from Exeter St Thomas' train station .
For parking, we recommend either Exe Bridges Retail Park (opposite Hidden Hearing) or the pay and display car park on Okehampton Street.

I had been having anxiety about my hearing for years before being seen by Hidden Hearing. I had an appointment with Ms Alyward who was exceptionally kind and professional and talked me through all the possible problems and reasons for my concerns. She really helped me feel at ease and even commissioned a background noise test just to confirm her diagnosis. Thankfully, absolutely nothing was wrong with my hearing in the end, but it was amazing to have this proven by a professional and know I had a range of options if something had indeed been wrong. Nobody before had even broached that my issues registering details of my conversation could be from my aspergers! I would highly recommend this amazing group and Ms Alyward personally!

Was initially assessed there 2 years ago and fitted with hearing aids. The service has been superb.
Hearing aids are expensive but controlled via blue tooth on my smart phone. They supply free batteries for 3 years.
The care they give is superior to other outlets I have encountered with relatives.

I have used this Company for some 10 years, and My wife has just started. WE both have different hearing difficulties, and we have both just had our annual hearing test. The way we are looked after by both gentlemen who run the centre is excellent, kind, understanding, patient and with an attitude that "Nothing is too much trouble". Frankly we would not wish to change the brilliant service we receive from this Hidden Hearing Centre.

Emma Rooms came to check my hearing and was most professional and friendly as she explained just at what level my hearing actually was. She fully explained how 'Hidden Hearing' would be able to help improve my level of hearing and then she fitted the actual equipment into both my ears. The difference they made was outstanding! We discussed the terms of payment and I have elected to try them out for a few weeks before deciding which way I will pay, but there is no doubt about me actually having them. Big 'Thank You' to Emma for her patience and professional manner to help me actually hear properly again!
